Crazy schedule at Naisten Korisliiga playoffs!
3 games in 4 days (possibly) !
Now, I do not make schedules, I do not make venue reservations, etc.
I just look at the Naisten Korisliiga playoff schedule for the series between ToPo and BC Nokia and think these players are really going to be put through a tough weekend!
Just out of curiosity I check BC Nokia schedule over the season : November : 4 games, December : 4 games : January : 5 games : February : 3 games : March : 8 games (possible).
What makes the ‘crazy schedule’ is that over the next four days 28th-31st of March (Fri-Mon). ToPo and BC Nokia will play (possibly) THREE games!!
- 28th of March : 18.30 BC Nokia vs ToPo
- 29th of March : 17.00 ToPo vs BC Nokia
- 31st of March : 18.30 BC Nokia vs ToPo
Now – I am sure (or at least hope) that the schedule was suggested by the teams and agreed to by the players, but looking at the seasons schedule with some MONTHS the teams only playing three games – now at the playoff time, they are playing three games in a weekend.
Of course from the point of view of someone who loves to follow the Naisten Korisliiga playoffs – having the same series giving you a possible three game weekend.. you are spoiled for action.
It will be a tough 60 hour spell for the players for sure, and you wouldn’t complain if the level of play/intensity drops a little during the possible third game (which will only be played in case the series does NOT go 3-0).
Good luck to the players and staff of the teams – on Monday we will be a lot wiser on how it went!!
Another positive to take is that the journey from Helsinki to Nokia – it is motorway all the way and the travel does not take that long.
