Why feeling negative after EBT vs Kouvottaret?

Need to explain

So, last night I posted on Instagram Stories that when coming back from playoff game EBT vs Kouvottaret, I was having just so much negativity after the game …

That started my Instagram and WhatsApp singing as I got questions from all corners that . WHAT HAPPENED THERE?? WHAT’S GOING ON??

Probably the words sounded more dramatic than they were intended to.. and it really does seem that when you post negative stuff, the algorithms push your post more. Never had anywhere near this amount of interest when posting positive stuff!

So what?

Negativity can mean so many different things to different people – so I am not going to go into details like :

‘ Oh, that player did this, or that coach did that, or referee, or fan or the ball…’

Because we all can interpret things in different ways, so just trying to be vague and still get some of my point across.

Positives first

This I got to get out first – because it needs to be said.

The event as a whole – great to see almost a full house at Espoonlahti, lots of younger fans as well, there was support through out most of the game, the game stayed close all the way through and even an over time for all basketball fans to enjoy.

So – there really was ton of positives and I wish that even a small part of Korisliiga/Naisten Korisliiga games would have this type of feeling in them … would make our league much more entertaining.

Thoughts

As many of you know, I never have a team I ‘want to’ win any particular game, so I am always neutral on the baseline – so I don’t get the biased fans point of view of the games like most do.

But there are certain things that players/fans/coaches/referees do that really do make me think ‘really?? REALLY!!!’

They can be just little things that happen, but last night – it seemed like many of my pet favourite ‘hates’ came to happen in one game.

Just little things that you probably won’t notice when watching the game from the stands or on TV – but when you shoot the game and just notice little things here and there… it just really grinds my gears ( shout out to Family Guy for putting that in my head!)

I know this doesn’t really clear anything up as to why I felt negative after last nights game – but as I said, I don’t really want to point to any specific individual happening/person. Just a compilation of many things that by the end of the game just made me feel that.

Even if I shooting a really close game of playoff basketball – there was just enough things that really grind my gears.

Sorry for not being any more clear – and thank you everyone who did get in touch with me to ask about what was going on, etc. At least that shows that people are paying attention to what’s happening in the Finnish Korisliiga …
