In-Season photoshoot with Samantha Breen, Kayla Shaw and Turbo

Something I really haven’t done enough in recent years, is an in-season photoshoot with players – there is a longer story to this but… maybe another time.

Last weekend I was having my little tour of Pohjanmaa, with games and content creation at various places. So after the Sunday evening video content, I returned to Vimpeli on Monday afternoon for two hours at the Vimpeli arena for a photoshoot session with Samantha Green, Kayla Shaw and Turbo!

These images were for the players and any way they wanted – whether it was game gear, freestyle gear.. sometimes it is nice as a photographer to give the reigns to the players and tell them that ‘this is your show!’ Although to be fair, that’s pretty much how I do my photoshoots all the time… the photos are not for me, and the most important thing always is that the players are comfortable and happy in front of the camera – and HOPEFULLY!! happy with the end results.

End results, I know, are not always something the players are happy with – and I do hear about this during the next years photoshoots 😉

But to have a chance to photograph players in their ‘own element’ - that is something I really enjoy and definitely need to get more into. And what better place this season to start this than Vimpeli – easy access to the Arena, three willing persons in front of the camera.. just a perfect setting!

The players have already posted some images – so now I dare to make a small post about the photoshoot as well - maybe this will give other players ideas to ask for their own photoshoots.. and if nothing else.. things stay online for ever, so this is a nice reminder of a lovely day behind the camera (and the Sunday evening behind the camera was fun as well – the results from that will come SOON!!!!)

BIG thanks for Kayla, Samantha and Turbo – you were all brilliant and it was real easy to work with you and create some content!! See you at the games in the coming hours??, days??, weeks??
