WU17 and MU17 PLAYOFFS!

Who will make it to the FINALS WU17?

Let’s start with the WU17 and there we have EBT (no surprise there!), PuHu Juniorit, HNMKY and Tikkurila Seura in the ‘Final 4’.

The teams will play a Best-Out-Of-3 series, so two wins and through.

EBT are #1 ranked and will play #4 ranked PuHu Juniorit, and #2 TikS will play #3 HNMKY.

So far this season!

EBT vs PuHu Juniorit – two games between the teams this season – one on the 28th of September ended PuHu 38-59 EBT and the second on the 14th of December EBT 58-64 PuHu.

So the results speak of EBT going through, but the second game give PuHu belief that they can challenge the ‘juggernaut’ that is EBT in the women’s youth leagues.

For TikS and HNMKY, funnily enough they also played on the opening round of the season – 1st of October for these teams. TikS were 65-61 winners on the away court in that occasion. Then just before Xmas, HNMKY visited TikS and paid back the earlier defeat and took a 68-63 win in Tikkurila.

One can definitely look forward to a tight series here, and would not be surprised at all if this went to the third and deciding game!

Who will make it to the FINALS MU17?

#1 BC Nokia vs #4 HNMKY – earlier two games went with big wins to BC Nokia, who only have lost ONE game this season (17-1 record). The defeat came at an away game vs KoLa Basket.

So, like at the WU17 side, the results speak of BC Nokia going through – but playoffs are a world of their own and anything can happen!

#2 Ura Basket vs #3 KoLa Basket – again, two wins for the higher seed, with 5 point and 10 point wins respectively.

But this series can be a tighter one, and will definitely look forward to a game #3 at Ura Basket on the 24th of March!
