Puhuttaret vs JBA – D 1 W

Sunday was a double-date at Energia Areena in Vantaa.

First up – last seasons Women’s D1 Champions Puhuttaret faced the Academy team from Jyväskylä – JBA.

Puhuttaret are at the moments second in the league, their only defeat coming in early November to ‘local rivals’ LePy – and the Women’s D1 is led by EBT II who are still undefeated in the league.

It wasn’t an easy game for the visitors, as Puhuttaret were on fire all game, last quarter went 18-0 to the home team – can’t say I’ve seen that too often.

But sometimes, one team has one of those days and everything works on offence and defence ..

For the last few attacks I was saying to myself.. don’t score, don’t score…

Why?

Well, I like a nice score.. and I think 72-27 looks nice (well – I know it is not nice for JBA, but you know.. 72 – 27 ..
Then also – three players scored 7 points in the game.. and four players scored 2 points.. Those were the most common amounts of points and makes 7 players .. The most common amount of fouls per player, was 2 – by four players.

And yes, I know I have too much time to think on the baseline!

Low scoring game – so not much to celebrate here.

JBA : Lotta Tiittanen with 7 points – Senja Tuomi with 9 rebounds – Lotta Tiittanen with 3 steals.
