Korisliiga (men) – Team of the Week 03

Once again the weekend is here and no games this Sunday, so Team of the Week for Korisliiga (men) is ready to be published.

Lots of new names made the list this week, with an old familiar name there as well, let’s see what opinions this weeks Team of the Week for Korisliiga brings to readers.

As we do, let’s start from under the basket and who do we find filling the spot for the CENTER of our Team of the Week?

CENTER : What can you say about this guy that hasn’t been said yet? It really looks like JEREMIAH WOOD of BISONS has come out of the blocks on fire this season. Having seen couple of his games from the baseline this season, it seems that WOOD is in then best shape in years and really putting in the work. Any team with JEREMIAH WOOD in Korisliiga is one to be taken seriously – so for the second week in a row, our big guy spot goes to the Bisons of Loimaa .. and JEREMIAH WOOD!

FORWARDS : This spot is one where it seems the ‘easiest’ – well, with least points – to make it to the team of the week, perhaps it’s the formula used to count the points or?? But – taking nothing away from two performances this week from our forwards who both put in great stats in their respective games. First spot goes to a player who has played in Korisliiga previously, and it is TRAVIS JOCELYN of KATAJA BASKET with his performance in their win this week. And second spot – well deserved after forming a big double-act with his team mate.. we award this place to VICTOR IWUAKOR of BISONS, really could not overlook his stats this week as he was head&shoulder above the other players for this spot.

GUARDS : One name should not come, well – actually neither name should be a surprise on this spot. First TOPIAS PALMI of PYRINTÖ, helping his team to their first win of the season on Saturday, this was the ‘vintage Palmi’ that all Pyrintö and Korisliiga fans wanted to see. Not to mention the coming international games, it is great to see TOPIAS finding his groove in Korisliiga. Second place goes to the winner of the ‘Duel of Salo’ .. this place would have gone to the guard of either team .. but with Salon Vilpas edging the win vs KTP – we give the ball on the back court to DONOVAN DONALDSON of SALON VILPAS for his superb game-winning performance.
