Capturing Pre-Game Moments in Kotka

There are the moments before the game, when things are quiet and players are preparing for the action. These are the moments I captured in few frames of still images and video last night at Kotka.

It is always nice to try and catch the players when they don’t know you are taking a photo or filming them, sometimes you get lucky with these and other times players look at you and either smile or tell you to try to take the photo when they don’t know you are taking a photo.

But this is the first part of trying to tell the story of the huge occasion for Finnish basketball, as Peli-Karhut competed in the EuroCup Women last night.

More posts to come with game images and of course the results from the 35mm film camera as well. I will also try to catch few PeKa players in the coming days to talk more about the game and what it meant and how it felt.
