Epic GoPro Moments: Finnish Women’s U17 Team in Leon, Mexico

This one has been long time coming, many apologies for that and perhaps at the end of this Blog post I will explain why, not that it really matters. But, during the last summer I traveled to Leon, Mexico with the Finland WU17 National team as they became the FIRST ever women’s basketball team from Finland to make it to the World Cup !!

One of the days, I asked the players to take my GoPro and just ‘record whatever’ – now, after almost three months, I FINALLY got my act together and edited the footage into a 7 minute long EPIC clip.

For me, it brought back good memories and reminded me of how lucky and fortunate I was to have the chance to travel there and also for the players to trust me to edit this footage (and yes – the players have NOT seen the footage prior to it being published!!!)

So, sit back and, grab a bag of pop corn or crisps (or nuts or pretzels) and enjoy the mayhem that happens when you give a GoPro to the Finnish Women U17 National team during their rest day in Leon, Mexico during the FIBA WU17 World Cup 2024.

I can never stress enough how much I appreciate the ease of working with ALL age groups of Finnish National teams, and also why I like to be there from the first games at age 15, and follow the players/teams as they progress through the ranks and eventually earn a spot in the senior national team .. during those times it REALLY helps that you have been around with the players since their junior days .. and that is why you get to watch these videos.

Hopefully you will have as much fun watching it, as I had editing it and remembering a great summer for Finnish basketball.
