MU17 – Ura Basket vs KoLa Basket

Eight round of the MU17 Finnish League – Ura Basket with 6-1 record before today, and KoLa Basket 7-0 – and WHAT A THRILLER!!

First two quarters went BIG for one team and then the other, and the last two quarters were close ones. So no surprise that in the end, the result was down to single digits.

Ura Basket coming out with a statement win 87-82 in the early tip-off on Sunday. So – for defeat for KoLa and now BC Nokia are alone in the lead, with Ura and KoLa close behind.

For Ura Basket, Juuso Pellikka with a double-double 19 points and 13 rebounds, Väinö Vuorinen with 19 points the scoring leader for the home team and four more players at 10 or 9 points : Eero Toivonen, Joose Laine, Pauli Kallio and Sisu Mattila. Daniel Dragtsma with a nice 9 rebounds and 4 steals to go with his 6 points.

For KoLa Basket, Renne Ikäläinen with a massive 32 points – but to be fair, he is also in the roster for Kouvot in the Men’s Korisliiga, Magnus Lintu was a beast under the basket and grabbed 12 boards, Jonni Rautiainen 12 points and Jahkaya Nicholson 11 points and Viljami Lehtonen 10 points – the other players in double digits on the points.
