Speechless!!
It was 24 hours ago when I was writing about Iceland winning a thriller vs Denmark – little did I know at the time that … THAT was not the thriller, tonight was!!
Rollercoaster
Sweden take the lead, Iceland pull away, Sweden dominate the 3rd quarter, Iceland come back .. you could not write a movie script better than the swings in the game tonight.
The ending ..
The biggest lead in the last ten minutes was for Sweden, by ONLY four points with 1min 56 seconds on the clock – other than that single moment.. it was ALL THE TIME a one basket game into one way or the other.
There was a 50 second scoring drought from 1min 04seconds – when Iceland tied the game – until there was 14 seconds on the clock.. and S&%T started to happen.. let’s just run it down play by play (with some comments of mine)

This was a VERY harsh call, and to call it a throw.. yes, these have been given some other times as well, but really not sure about this.. but – refs call it, and it stays. Which gets me to the point that there SHOULD be possibility of ONE coaches challenge in these games (although Iceland would have already used their by this time..)

I like it when I don’t notice them too much in the game – I maybe saw them too much today.. that is not to say they made right or wrong calls.. just made calls that allowed me to notice them.. I am there to take photos and videos.. referees call the game.
