Denmark learn, Norway searching for win
Did the coach read this Blog?
Now, I like to take credit for nothing – but when I yesterday wrote that Denmark have a problem with 3rd quarters in their games, what happened today??
Their third quarter was their best of the game.. so no need to thank me for giving you the winning advice (yes – I am just kidding…)

Close for 20, big gap for 20
First twenty minutes of the game was exciting and basket-to-basket play – with Norway giving their best performance of the tournament so far.
In the second 20, Denmark seemed to find an extra gear and their coach took – what I would call a ‘Wake the team up’ technical foul during the game.. after which Denmark did seem to wake-up and took the game comfortably in the end.
No big thrills, but a win is a win
Game itself felt like a mid-afternoon game – which never really got going in a big way – players often tell me that evening games they seem to find more energy for.. where as daytime games.. it is still ‘afternoon nap’ time for players..

Top performers
No huge stats by any single player – so a team effort to get the W for Denmark.
But :
- Ida Westphall had another strong game, 16 points, steal, blocks ..
- Mia Lipscomb would have probably liked to have better accuracy from shooting – but added assists and big rebounds for her team
- Norway had Milena Lund, Siena Sandford, Nora Nyland Rotherud and Astrid Laugen as their top scoring unit with Lund and Rotherud also big on the rebounds.
Conclusion
Win for Denmark – Norway still searching for their first win.
