Women’s Regional Hoops: Vilpas vs. Kamut Recap

To tip-off my travels, went to an early game in the Women’s Regional 2nd Division (Western) game between Salon Vilpas and Pyrintö Kamut in Salohalli.

As it has seemed to be the case in the two games I’ve shot at this level, the games tend to stay close and the game goes right to the last minutes – same today.

Vilpas did hold the edge most of the time and did final score was 74-65 after 40 minutes.

But it was almost a ‘one basket game’ until the last few minutes, and also Vilpas had a crazy spell of shooting three or four shots in a row from behind the three point line in the third quarter that turned the game – just when Kamut had taken the lead.

Even if I only made it to the second half of the game, I managed to get decent set of images and compiled a short IG Reel from the game.

Although I do prefer to always shoot the whole game, just feels wrong to shoot only a partial game – but had to get some groceries and painkillers for the trip ahead.

Next up a 5pm tip-off between Vilpas and Kataja in the Men’s Korisliiga – before my ‘epic’ road trip begins in earnest … more about that later!
