Miesten Korisliiga – Team of the Week 4
Call me eager, but I am starting to write this post during the half time of Pyrintö-Kobrat game, and still might have to change some players in the team.
Depending on the result and performances in that game, but looking at the half-time stats – only few players are making enough of an impact there at the moment – and by starting this now, I’ll have my post ready by the time the game ends!
Team of the week for Miesten Korisliiga – Game Week 04 !!
CENTER : After two weeks, will Jeremiah Wood make it THREE IN A ROW??
The answer is NO! – there was a player who amassed only three ranking points more than Woods this week, as he helped his team to a big W early in the two-game-week. So under the basket we have a new player, making his first appearance in the team – and it is COURTNEY ALEXANDER II from LAPUAN KOBRAT! A big scoring double-double for ALEXANDER II in the game vs Korihait to help his team to a good start to the game week
GUARDS : Guards still to make much on impact this season, at least in the light of the points but we have two players who with their performances did help their teams to get the results this week. First up, one of the players journalist Petri Siitonen from Joensuu is talking up as the Player of the Month (which will be revealed TOMORROW!!) player who still only makes his FIRST appearance in the Team of the Week, which is kind of unbelievable when looking at his stats – cooking up a real storm in Korisliiga – he is KESHAWN CURRY of KATAJABASKET. And you just can’t keep TOPIAS PALMI of PYRINTÖ out of the team, since joining the team a little late in the season – Palmi has been the best performer in his team and the game vs Kobrat was no exception as his all around game was the stand out performance of the evening!
FORWARDS : First, the biggest points scorer in the race to the Team of the Week, Yet another import player who has played in Finland before this season – COACHES TAKE NOTE!! – and his game has been very strong all through the first weeks of the season, and he makes his firs appearance in the team ZACCHEUS DARKO-KELLY of KATAJABASKET gets the first nod into the team. Joining DARKO-KELLY is a player from the newly promoted team TAPIOLAN HONKA, as we once again see a Honka player in the Team of the Week, this time it is their forward ANTHONY ROBERTS, making his second appearance in the team from the game where Honka ran out with clear W over Korihait.
