Korisliiga – Team of the week 45
With last games of the week done and dusted, it is time to see who made it to this weeks : Team of the Week!!
Only one of the starting five received his place from a home game, showing that road wins were the theme this week. There was a super strong line of Center’s to choose from, probably the hardest so far this season.

Malcom Bernard (G) – BC Nokia – You can not look past Bernard for a spot at the back-court of this weeks team, his 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists helped BC Nokia take the W over Pyrinto in Sunday evenings only game. By far the best performance by a guard this week. And deserved first choice.
Brian Asbury (C) – Kouvot – Asbury takes his place as the ‘big man’ this week, on a week when the big guys were having a super week. So from a strong line-up that included players like, Tuukka Kotti, Malik Dime, Kevin Johnson Jr.. it was Asbury’s performance in Kouvot win over Ura Basket earlier in the week that gains him the place in this weeks team. Short of a double-double, but an impressive stat line, with 4 steals (for a big guy?!?!).
Ilari Seppala (G) – Kataja Basket – 33 minutes and 5 out of 6 from the three point range, with 8 assists. The starting guard for Kataja Basket makes his first appearance in the team of the week. From his performance away vs Kobrat, when Kataja came away with a solid win on the road. The sparky ball handler came up trumps to come to the back court of this weeks team.
Rene Rougeau (F) – KarhuBasket – One of two KarhuBasket players in this weeks team, Rougeau snaps this ahead of other forwards – it was once again an overall performance, and not so much an impressive stat-line that awarded Rene a place in the team. It is showing that Rougeau has played in the league last year, as his game is adapting to the way the game is played and refereed over here.
Durrell Summers (F) – KarhuBasket – Summers completes this weeks team, and also the second KarhuBasket player in the team – as he and Rougeau combined well to get Karhu the road win vs KTP. Summers is still finding his feet in the league, and can have outstanding games, but can at times be missing as well. As the season goes on, and the benefits of BCL qualifying games and longer time together starts to show – expect even more impressive lines from Summers.
Bench : Tuukka Kotti (C) Seagulls, Topias Palmi (F) KatajaBasket, Kenneth Manigault (F) Pyrinto, Antero Lehto (G) Pyrinto, Malik Dime (C) Ura Basket, Larry Anderson (F) Kobrat, Khalil Small (G) Kobrat.
