Saturday night’s alright for…. the FIRST Mic’d Up video of the season!!!

Players sometimes carry small knocks or are just rested – but that doesn’t mean they don’t need to participate in the creating of content from Korisliiga. Friday night in Salo was reserved for getting Vilpas and Susijengi legend Mikko ‘La Bomba’ Koivisto Mic’d Up during the preseason game between Salon Vilpas and KTP.

With Finnish being relatively little spoken language – I have helped the English speaking visitors with English language subtitles for the video … hopefully it’ll enhance your viewing experience a little.

Doing these videos does require the trust between the player and the person recording – and hopefully the many years of being around players and coaches has allowed me the trust to keep making many more of these videos during the season … and of course a BIG thank you goes to Mikko for being so great and open to being the first ‘victim’ of Mic’d Up-series of 2024-25 .. but as said, the trust needs to be there and I can never force a player to take the mic, no doubt during the season I will get many rejections to my questions.. but hopefully many players/coaches will also say YES!
