HBA-ViVe daytime tip-off!!
Wednesday – daytime tip-off at 13.00 in Helsinki as HBA took on ViVe in an early tip-off at URHEA-halli. Probably seeing one of the biggest crowds for Women’s Korisliiga this season, as the school had given many students an hour of classes so they could attend the game.. and they did come in good numbers to watch the game.
It was so great to see a really decent turn out for the game, and makes such a difference to the photos as well.
Today, for me, was also the kind of prelude to my ’12 days of basketball’ – with an early start and heading to Helsinki to get the oil changed in the camper (I know – my life is SOOO exciting!) and then driving to URHEA and catching the train to city center and FINALLY getting a new camera bag, before ending up at URHEA-halli for the game.
Game itself, entertaining with some good plays from both teams – and enjoyed doing both stills and video from the game – and at the end of it doing quick interviews with Kati Ollilainen of HBA and Kristina King of ViVe (videos which you can of course see with-in this post – Ollilainen in Finnish and King in English)
Other than that – probably day five of constant head aches and neck as stiff as .. well, something that is very stiff, I don’t know.. just way too locked at the moment. Maybe a quick sauna still at home tonight before heading abroad tomorrow (not sure my last visit to a German sauna was a success… so).
Now for the evening – trying to pack everything needed for 12days on the road, with flights, trains and other transports. Feeling quite unprepared for some reason for this.. I know that all transport has been booked, all but two hotels booked.. so it should all be sorted – but can’t help the feeling that I have overlooked something.
Hopefully all is sorted and also that I have time for my daily updates from the journey – can’t say I have the best track record in these.
For now – and for tonight – we’ll go with the small gallery of images from the game today, and the two interviews… tomorrow is promo-shots in Helsinki during the day.. and then.. to the airport and first flight of the trip!!!
