Finnish Cup – Final 4 – Day 3
And that’s a wrap for this years Finnish Cup in basketball – 48 hours and six games (I know, not that much). Last game was the Women’s Final.. which unfortunately after the two OT games on Saturday… was a bit of .. well, not as exciting.
Right from the tip-off it looked like only one winner in the game and so it went… so less said about the game, the better.
With ToPo winning, they enjoyed it and gave plenty of emotions and coaches shower photos .. so a HUGE thanks for that one, always appreciated by the photographers when the winning team looks like it’s the best moment ever when the Trophy is lifted and they cut the net off.. never get tired of these kind of images!!

How was the Cup weekend from photography point of view .. it was ‘OK’
Few decent frames from the games, nothing really spectacular .. but at least some that I could be happy with. But as always, it doesn’t matter whether I am happy with the images – what matters is whether the clients are happy with them. As I have NOT won the lottery – so I do need paying clients to keep me going in this business 🙂
Always nice to meet basketball people – whether they are players on the court, or injured players coming to watch the games, or coaches on the court or at the stands.. and all the other people around the sport.. great bunch and always enjoy catching up with them prior/after the games.

Although after the games, always better be quick to edit and clear your spot.. the ‘clear up crew’ is extremely efficient and if you don’t watch it.. they’ll carry you AND your equipment out of the way when they clear the Arena 😉
Now it is just the last editing and uploading of images from the weekend – apart from then taking time to also sort the players out with photos they are requesting.
So a weekend of photography and keeping the Korisliiga Twitter/Instagram accounts ticking during the games is done, last night at the hotel before an early morning train back home and starting last bookings and preparations for the ’12 days of basketball’ which start next week…
