On the road – Day 10
Another day… Day 10 of ??
So, it was Wednesday – I think, one starts to lose track of days as it doesn’t really matter what day it is.. as they just sort of roll into one long never ending day…
Up nice and early, 6 am for a walk.. and actually Prague is pretty decent at that time of the day!! No tourists, empty streets, very few cars. And no, I don’t want anyone else getting the same idea of getting up at that time… just stay sleeping and let me enjoy the few moments of peace and quiet!! Although I did have one member of the ‘Paskasakki’ with me on the walk.. so ??

Today I also got to visit the game venue – Prague Arena or O2 Arena.. not sure which the official way to say it at EuroBasket. And let’s just say that not much has changed here since I first visited it in .. was it 2008 or 2009 for IFF Floorball World Championships… same media entrance, same accreditation pick-up point and same tables at the Media Center.. but as someone said to me. ‘It has worked, so why change it!!’ Which is very true!!
I might even sit at the same table I did at those game over 13 years ago..
And the shopping center next door, still the same restaurants in the food court… it’s good to have travelled a bit in my time 😉
While on there road, it always nice to get messages from home – reminding that some people have a ‘normal’ life. And also the messages/photos make you miss home.. and what better photo than a your furry friend doing what he loves.. chewing a stick 🙂

After the training – and stuff.. it was back to the hotel and in the evening a chance to do some BTS photos/video from a photoshoot. Something that we definitely do not see enough, at least not in Finland. Even for me – I am usually the one doing the photography.. so BTS footage is not possible. And it was great to see some of the best photo/video people doing their thing last night…. just shows how much I still have to learn to be even near their level with my work!! Great respect for these people who FIBA choose to cover their major events!!!
When the media session was done, was fun to talk to some of them – and there were three stations (green screen, white backdrop, dark/LED backdrop) and all stations had few persons running them.. I just happened to mention that .. ‘oh yeah, got photoshoots coming up myself after EuroBasket.. same sort of set as you guys have. Three stations.. only difference is.. I do it all by myself’

Then – at around 22.00 it was back to the room and hitting the editing.. quick post of BTS photos, and then get the video footage ready for editing for the morning (probably out by the time this goes public).
Tomorrow is last prep day, then on Friday.. it is GAME TIME!!
