On the Road – Day 2
23/08/2022 – Day 2 of ??
First ‘Travel Day’ – the Susipaparazzi and the team moved on Tuesday from Helsinki to Tampere, after a morning practice in Helsinki. Tampere will now be the base until Thursday evening – when I cover the game at the new Nokia Arena over here (Finland vs Israel in FIBA World Cup Qualifying)
The days work-theme was pretty normal for a qualifying window – photos/videos from the training session, behind the scenes video footage for TV broadcast for Thursday, couple of social media interviews, and a TON of posting to the Susijengi social media channels from the day. Hence why my own social media is pretty quiet, as I spend lots of time posting for clients channels 🙂
Luckily today I got some help behind the camera, as Micke Jantunen (Susijengi player) wanted to take some photos as the team was heading out of the hotel in Helsinki. Players seemed happy enough to pose for him and were interested in the results…
Looking at the photos – I think Micke definitely should take up photography as a hobby as he was thinking of doing!
There was also time to do a little bit of retail-therapy as I popped to a local photography store to buy myself a DJI wireless microphone set – and put it to good use (without reading the instructions – of course!! 😉 ) for one of yesterdays interviews. Seems like a decent set – and can help to reduce the size of the set of microphones I take with me for some jobs
So – day 2 – city #2 – hotel #2 … travels have started well.
Rating of today’s dinner – went for Asian food today : 7/10. It was OK, but could have probably made a little better myself (I might have to add here that I have also worked as a Chef for almost 20 years.. so possibly know a thing or two about food as well)
