Basket for basket game, one scores, the other replies.

For HNMKY Lujasmaa sunk two threes in a row to give HNMKY the initiative, but TikS slowly clawed the gap and with a HUGE !!! Three just at the buzzer for the break… TikS took a .. what can be described a commanding lead between these two teams.

With the score at 32-36 at the half.. that is the ‘normal’ winning margin between these two teams this season.

But – with the basketball being a game of runs .. we still have 20 minutes to go and who knows what twists or turns the game has to offer to us.

The emergency A&E (Kari) sirens have been on good form with 14 points between them before the half. Visalia with 9 points the top scorer for TikS.

Leona Lujasmaa with her two threes leads the scoring for HNMKY with 8 points, Ese Peter with 6 and Jasmin Pedro with 5 points the next in line.

11-0 run … followed by 11-0 run… as the wise people say, ‘Basketball is a game of runs’ (which really makes no sense as this is not baseball.. but anyways).

In the end the game went to the last seconds .. with BOTH teams having golden chances to win the game… but in the end, it was the home team HNMKY who took a single POINT win in the game.

From my point of view, the game was scrappy, and neither team got to the flow mode. Turnovers, bad passes, whistle blowing so much that my ears are still ringing ..

So, not a pretty game of basketball, but tight games rarely are!

Teams go again at 10.45am tomorrow!
