Team of the week Korisliiga (men) 06
Haven’t seen any games this week, but luckily the Team of the Week goes by the stats – so no need to have been at 12 games this week 😉
Reason for not seeing games is that I have been with the Finnish Women’s National team the whole week being their content creator for the EuroBasketWomen qualifying window in Helsinki.
But – Team of the Week for Korisliiga (men) for the Game week 06
Lots of competition for places this week, but some clear winners in the end – and we are starting to have about three or four players each week who I can say will be there or there about for the spot in the team .. and I am sure most who follow the league know those names as well!
TEAM OF THE WEEK 06 :
CENTER : Really – he had the TWO best stats-games for this position and I am running out of things to say about him – he really is such an instrumental part of the teams success this early season – it is of course JEREMIAH WOOD of Biisonit – who actually hasn’t been in the Team of the week for couple of weeks.. but makes a stellar return this week!
GUARDS : Another two players who have owned these sports for a weeks on end – TOPIAS PALMI AND KESHAWN CURRY of Tampereen Pyrintö and KatajaBasket respectively. When their teams win – it usually means that they will be in the team – and this week the closest challengers for their sports were more than 6 points away from them. So – welcome back to both these players – and not putting it past for Palmi to be the Player of the Month .. he definitely is in the early running for the honours…
FORWARDS : Returnee is RENE ROUGEAU or HELSINKI SEAGULLS another strong performance early in the week clinches the spot in the team, the forward places were once again the ones which were the most closely contested. Rene is joined by a newcomer – someone who Vilpas fans have not been too impressed until few games ago .. JERMAINE MARSHALL of SALON VILPAS he has seen his game really step up, not just A level.. but several levels in the last few weeks, as so often happens – new American players do take their time to adjust to the league in Finland – and often the teams who show patience with their players – reap the rewards later on in the season.
