Big one in Naisten Korisliiga – HBA vs ViVe

Friday evening, as always, under the bright lights in Helsinki.

Outside winter is making itself felt with the first flakes of snow falling, and most of Finland panicking .. yes ,even Finland doesn’t seem immune to ‘first snow panic’ these days.

In Naisten Korisliiga there was a big game at the bottom half of the table, with Helsinki Basketball Academy taking on Vimpelin Veto.

So I decided to visit the game with my cameras to capture some pre-game video and in-game stills. Few frames of each on display here.

Game itself was a good one, end to end stuff, lots of plays under the basket .. in the end after 40 minutes, the visitors had just edged the game by five points to get their second win of the season.

Definitely a nice showcase of women’s basketball in Finland – as the teams are preparing to get some rest from action and do more on the practice courts.. with the International window starting on Sunday! (stay tuned for more about that week!!!)
