Legends on court and bench at Divisioona game
What I love to see is the past/current National team players giving back to the game…
On Friday at Divisioona game HBA vs Honka, either on the bench or coaching staff there was a combined over 500 Men’s National team games, over 4000 points scored .. and countless memories made. As Petteri Koponen, Jamar Wilson, Tuukka Kotti and Carl Lindbom were in action.
Well – two of them still actively playing, the other two taken a coaching role ..
Although, especially Tuukka Kotti was a slight ‘cheat code’ in the game, and at the young age of 42 still ended a breakaway with a casual dunk. Something to think about (and something that in NBA would be a constant stats-geeks dream) is that Tuukka Kotti made his debut at the National Team in year 2000, which was FIVE years before the oldest player in HBA was even BORN! When the most senior HBA player was born in 2005, Tuukka Kotti had already played over 40 International matches for Finland… and in the Friday evening game… at some point the score was Tuukka Kotti 19 – 19 HBA 😉
As for myself – stills and video from yet another game, and yes – I did decide to do the video… even if a surprisingly large amount of people from Joensuu had voted on my IG poll that I should NOT make a video from this game… not really sure what I have done to upset people from Joensuu??? Or maybe they just don’t like the videos… Then again – the main reason why I keep posting these is to have some memories and history of what I have done and of the game in general in Finland.

Now – a quiet week ahead with games only on Tuesday in Korisliiga… and that is the night that I won’t have a car to use.. with us ‘only’ having one car at the moment for few more weeks or months. At the end of the week – Finnish Cup Final 4 in Helsinki for three days.. so guess I can have some time with the doggie in the forest until then.
