Keeping tabs on MU18 this summer
MU18 – why them?? Well, they are one of the few teams to play any games in Finland this summer.. most other teams played their Nordic Championships and then remaining warm-up games have been abroad… and mainly all youth European Championships are abroad for us Finns.
But – MU18 will be hosting the MU18 European Championships A-division NEXT summer – so it is interesting to see how some players from this years team are performing.. who might be in contention for a spot in the roster next summer as well.
Plus – it’s always fun to pop into Kisakallio and the cool SusiTrainingCenter over there.. I mean, which photographer does not love to shoot at a venue where (even when empty) the background tells you that you are in the Wolf Country! And yes, I know… games/training sessions.. they are not made for us photographers in mind.. 😉
Two games for MU18 – Sunday/Monday vs Georgia… looking forward to these… should be a good measuring point to how the team has improved since Nordics (and yes – they might have needed to improve a little bit).
