105 days – still no days off

Month has rolled by since the last post here…. and it keeps being busy. Now have entered into Day 105 without a day off from work. No saying that I have had photoshoots/games for 105 days in a row – although that’s not too far off! But July 24th was the last day when I didn’t work, although I was probably packing my gear for a trip during that day.. still, let’s count it as a day off!

How does one keep going for over three months, with travels, photoshoots, games, editing???

Answer to that is : I DO NOT KNOW !!

It helps that the job you have is something that you love doing, and you have a passion for. That also does bring the downside to it, that it is a job.. but it is also something that you love doing, so you might not always feel like you are working!

But hey, great summer with the ‘Wolfpack’ and now about 40 days on the road covering Korisliiga..

And I always remind myself on the photoshoot days – for me, it might be photoshoot number 50 of the season, but for the players and the team. It might be the only one they have that year.. and it is for THEM that I do the photos.. not for myself, so that always gives me a pick-me-up as I set the lights and backdrops

Now – I have ALMOST covered all men’s and women’s teams in Korisliiga both for profile and game images, and I have uploaded a total of 18000 images for the Korisliiga archives for this season since the start of it!! On top of that – maybe about 3000 GIFs to GIPHY.

Journey on the roads around Finland, probably close to 15000-18000 kilometres, various overnight places in random parts of Finland.

So, a BIG thank you to all the players and teams for being such good with accommodating my requests on the photoshoots and games.

Just few more games, and then that looks like it is this Korisliiga season to be in the books and all photography that the league needs has been done. Always feels a little strange that in start of November, I get to say… ‘yep, that’s my Korisliiga season done!!’
