Expectations vs Reality ;-)

Aaah, the joys of the open road and freedom to park anywhere along the way during the photoshoot roadtrip (yes – after being on the road with Susijengi for about 4 weeks.. I am now on the road for about 6 weeks with Korisliiga promo-photoshoot tour around Finland!).

Naturally I do my photoshoot at about 20 different towns/cities around Finland, and sometimes have to drive 700km to get from one venue to the next – usually overnight. But OF COURSE every location I stop to sleep – is a picturesque place where my front door opens to tranquil scenes like this….

But – reality might sometimes be different, parking places are sometimes on the parking lot of a petrol station, on a busy roadside (when you just CAN’T drive anymore at 3am!) or anywhere else that most of us pass daily..

Besides, what one tends to over look quite a lot, is that after a three hour photoshoot, you do have a lot to edit – you need to cook your meals – have a shower (if you are lucky!).. and so on. So whilst you may have four hours time before you head to sleep… the view is NOT the ones I showed you above… but more like the one below, watching the progress bar of the upload while you try to upload 7GB worth of images in the forest/roadside on TWO BARS OF 3G INTERNET!!!

Still, having this as my accommodation – definitely beats any five star hotel!! And the food is better… yes, I have worked at five star hotels as a chef myself..

But hey – life on the road continues… at least six days to go before I have a chance to pop home for… 16 hours???
