All Stars Teams – revealed!

All Stars Teams revealed for 2025 NC

OK – it was a long night last night with all that was going on at the end of the last game.

But – here we have my choices for the All Stars Team – Starting Five.

Made separate teams for both WU16 and MU16 – let’s see if you agree!

WU16 All Stars Team 2025

Why these players ..?

• Nelly Strong – She was the top scorer of the tournament, of course she did have a lot of the ball, but with her ability to bring the ball up the court and score – I just could not pass choosing her for the team.
• Mille Sørensen – MVP of the tournament, threat on both ends of the court and hey, if you get the official MVP vote from the coaches .. how could I argue with that 🙂
• Inga Ingadottir – I thought that as my All Stars Team will not make all their shots, I should have someone like Inga taking the rebounds and helping the team get some 2nd chance points.
• Franciska Trzecieski – Maybe little outside of the box thinking here, I like my teams to play aggressive and Franciska has quick hands to steal the ball, dish it quickly for an assist – as well as having one of the best +/- stats of the tournament.
• Gillan Darbo Pereira – Needed someone on the team who is really able to establish her authority inside the paint – she gets rebounds, blocks the shots and draws fouls under the basket.

I think that starting five would do pretty well in the tournament?? What do you think??

MU16 All Stars Team 2025

Reasoning for the choices..

• Benoni Andrason – Tournament MVP – and the stats speak for themselves, Putting Benoni on the team for his all-around abilities and being a versatile player – so he is able to take different roles when needed.
• Victor Lagerkvist – The leader in the Swedish team that (eventually!) did go to win the Nordic Championships 2025. he is able to score – but for my team he comes more as the person to serve the ball and when needed stepping up on the scoring.
• Bob Da Silva – Yes, there is plenty on the stats and so on and he is the ‘big man’ in my roster – but I am also a sucker for players with flair .. and Bob gets to take all the poster dunks he wants in my starting five!!
• Daniel Snorrason – You do get the points, rebounds and assists from Daniel – but he is also a top defender and with me having few more attacking minded players – Snorrason comes to shore out the defence when needed!
• Simon Massamba Johansson – He is the guy to bring up the ball, take fast breaks when he steals the ball and just .. be the energy guys who doesn’t run out of juice .. hustles on the defence and driving past defenders to the basket.

So there – think this starting five would have done well in this years Nordic Championships??
